The breakfast buffet was amzing, especially the miso soup! They even have a nice and clean hot spring bath. I like how they value the environment and promote eco cleaning (You get a free drink if you choose eco cleaning).

The room I had was fine but could do with a revamp. Chipped laminate in places and dusty round the window. The head board on the bed was sticky.

Location is great as were the staff. Breakfast was a nice mixture of things to try. I stayed only two nights but each morning the breakfast was varied.

Everything was fine

Convenient location for train or bus travel. The area looks bleak but there are restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to KuroNeko our luggage to the hotel

There were no real problems, it was too bad we had to stay in a smoking room, but that couldn't be helped at the time we booked it. Also, while this didn't bother me or my friends, the hotel is close to the railroad tracks, so you can hear trains go by from your hotel room, if you are sensitive to that sort of sound.

Although my friends and I chose this place because we didn't have many options, I was very satisfied staying here. We got breakfast included, and I'd say my favorite part was the breakfast. The room I stayed in was nice, and the air conditioning worked well (which I'm most grateful for during this summer heat.) They also have an eco option, instead of house cleaning you can get a coin to use for one drink at a designated vending machine. Their public bath was small (holds probably 6 people before it's gets overly crowded), but overall comfortable.

The hotel is right next to the station with only a short walk. Breakfast is wonderful and delicious. Hot spring bath is small but ok.

The breakfast was a bit early for us and could taste better. However, there were many choices, which was great. The beds were too firm for us.

The staff was very polite and friendly. We really appreciated the japanese bath after a day of sightseeing. The fact that it was just besides the train station and has a free parking was more than convenient.

The hotel has become non smoking, but unfortunately, the room I stayed in still had an old smoke smell. The spray in the room helped.

Good baths, and the staff was very nice. I skipped breakfast this time unfortunately.

There was a faint smell of cigarette in my room, even though I was in the non-smoking section. Staff didn't seem to speak much English, and a lot of the information about the hotel and the area are in Japanese only. Although it's a 3 stars hotel, the facilities in the room looks and feels old, and overall it should have been cleaner: there were a few hairs in the bathroom and the window was dirty as well. Other 3 stars hotels don't make you pay extra for laundry use, but this one does.

Large hotel very close to both train station and bus terminal. Staff was very polite and helpful. I could store my bags there the day before my check in date for no extra fee (I was shocked there were no available lockers at Tsuruoka station). There's a public bathroom (sento) that guests can use, also a microwave and ice machine. The room was a decent size for Japanese standards, had all the classics such as tv, kettle and teas, hair dryer etc. Decent breakfast, and coffee is available 24/7.
