Basically we did not stay in the cave rooms but we were relocated to the Java Hotel just down the road and it is a lovely hotel all round and ideally located to visit the caves.

We felt very welcomed by the friendly owners with a delicious homemade welcome drink. The room was fantastic—very new, modern, and clean. The property was well-maintained, and the breakfast was excellent. Located in a nice and quiet area.

Close proximity to the caves a few kms away! Near to shops and services! Parking on site.
Utensils meant we could prepare a picnic!
The accommodation was clean and comfy! We stayed 2 nights and it was ideal for our needs! It is on a main road but we were to the back so not disturb at all!

Clean apartment with a nice view of the Nanos plateau, close to Postojna. Although it's next to the busy highway, you can hardly hear it when the windows are closed. The host spoke English. She is fond of stitching (very pretty curtains in the apartment) and gave our daughter a hand-made apron as a farewell gift.
We loved the area, away from the crowd. It was quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. We stayed in one of many huts which had all you need for the stay. The camp has playgrounds and places like swimming pool where you can relax too. We didn't get to use the swimming pool as it was open only hours when we were out and about ,away from the camp.
Kitchen could do with some extra utensils bits, like bigger cups, kettle, knives, wooden spoons.
The restaurant is placed at the top of one of the larger cave with a beautiful view and they have a very good selection of food.
It is a short walk from the camp to Postojna caves through the woods 3km, (by shortcut, not on the road).Definitely a nice place for outdoor lovers, biking or hiking.
It would be nice if there was a camp fire pit, we didn't ask to be honest, so maybe we have not seen it. To sum up - we like the place a lot and we would come back.

The cave is an unmissable experience, but the town itself is also very atmospheric for a short walk.
Main squere and the church is very nice.
We tried Mal'ca Kebab restaurant and Pizzeria Cuk. Both were very good with solid prices.

What a secret gem!
What a secret gem! We stumbled upon Postojna by accident and we are so glad we did. Slovenia is beautiful and the people here are wonderful. The food is amazing and the cave tour was by far one of the best excursions I have ever done.

From Centre you can walk to the spectacular caves.
From Centre you can walk to the spectacular caves. There are also many walks around the countryside (riverside walks and woodland walks.) There are supermarkets to stock up on essentials....Tuc supermarket has a good bakery too.
The cafe in the central square is very pleasant and has a good selection of ice cream.
From the caves you need to hire or share a taxi to the equally spectacular castle. (In the summer there maybe a shuttle bus).

There were two major attractions, the Postojna cave and Predjama castle, I recommend both.
We were looking for a traditional Slovenian restaurant, but didn't find one nearby (or at least it's not on google).

Magnificent huge cave; nice train trip inside.
Magnificent huge cave; nice train trip inside. Plenty to watch, sadly the guide offered a fast forward tour, the cave was packed with people, you didn’t have time to see or take pictures. They should restrict number of people allowed/tour or time visit when extremely crowded. There are time admissions which you can reserve, but they are useless because they also accept direct bookings on spot ☹
The hosts were incredibly nice. They gave us good advice, helped us reserve a restaurant and made sure we had a great experience. The room was amazing, spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a small fridge in the room. The hostess prepared us an amazing breakfast for a small extra that was really worth it. We can only recommend this place when stopping to visit the Postojna cave and Predjama castle.
This is an old building, but it's reasonably well kept. The staff is knowledgeable; we got some great recommendations for restaurants that ended up being the best places where we ate in our tour of Slovenia.
We liked the included breakfast, but when the hotel was full, the staff could not keep up with the crowd. We had to stand in line for every single item.
The room looks new and comfortable. The buffet breakfast (11.07 Euros per person extra) is very good, but the staff was not nice when we had the breakfast more than one hour. I have never heard that the buffet breakfast has the time limit.
The parking lot is just a few steps away, it is very convenient. The location is not far from Postojna Cave.
Everything! the family who manages the place was exceptional. they serve breakfast and dinner, both of them were really good! the place is very well located if you plan a visit to the famous caves in Slovenia and not so far from other interesting places.
the room was comfortable and clean :)
thank you for the hospitality!
Good Hotel right in the center of Postojna. Spacious room with couch, desk and view to the main square. 10-15min walking to the cave, so you can keep your car in the underground parking instead of paying twice (Postojna 5€, Hotel 6€). Breakfast buffet was included and I did not miss something.
Amazing hosts... very friendly with classy and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was adjusted based on our preference and was really delicious. Proximity is 10 mins drive to Postonja Caves and right next to Aveo pub which also have a great menu.
I would definitely recommend.
The location is pretty close to the Postojna cave, in walking distance.
The receptionist allows us to leave the car in the facility parking during our cave visit, which helped us. He also gave us some information about what and where to eat in the neighborhood.
Quiet and modern, free parking at the door, in a pretty little hamlet in the countryside but just 1km of the highway. Handy to Postojna Castle and caves. Friendly hosts, good breakfast with lots of items grown or made by the hosts. Superb dinner! Cute goats.
"Postojna Cave Hotel: Impressive Interiors, Delectable Breakfast Buffet, and Outstanding Staff. A stone's throw from the must-visit nearby cave. Don't miss the equally impressive dinner buffet. The top choice for a stay in Postojna!"
Perfect location for seeing Postojna caves, and few minutes away from the centre with bakeries and restaurants. Clean and host was friendly. It would have been great to have a fridge, kettle and crockery for the little dining space.
good location, we came for the caves and castle and was easy to navigate here, one good restaurant within walking distance was good. affordable, super clean, and updated room/facilities. friendly host, great breakfast spread.
The owner was extremely nice, and even gave us a ride from the train station to the house. He also gave us information regarding where to eat and how to go to the Postojna caves. We enjoyed a lot staying here.
Small and cute family place. Very clean, and close to the entrance of Postojna cave.
Boris, the host, was very friendly and nice. Breakfast was also nice with fresh vegetables from the garden.
Very well run hotel. Great food and attentive hosts. Many fun activities available on site - from hiking, cave exploration to horse back riding.
Gorgeous setting in the mountains.
Great accommodation just few minutes walk from Postojna Cave. Rooms clean and well equipped. Lovely garden with children playground. Free parking place. Everything was amazing.
Staff present 24/24, close to Postojna cave walking, super clean, some classic ingredients available in the kitchen, possibility of breakfast, wifi, etc.
