Brilliant location surrounded by fantastic views - that's what really makes it. The hotel has a good vibe. The room had a balcony with a wonderful view. We were impressed with the breakfast - a good range to choose from. We also loved the on-site 'viking' pub/brewery!
Overlooking the Aurlandsfjord, this charming inn is 400 metres from Flåm Train Station. It offers a peaceful garden, a lounge and a breakfast room with fjord views.

The property was a short, flat walk from Flam Marina and the Train Station.
The reception staff were extremely helpful and allowed us to store our motorbike kit on the morning of our departure, while we took the train trip journey.
The single beds, although really narrow, were comfortable with lovely linen, duvets and pillows. The toiletries in the bathroom smelt great.
Dinner in the hotel was delicious and as good as any dinner we have had in good restaurants in Norway. The beetroot soup was so tasty I could have eaten a second bowl.
Breakfast was ok, a selection of yogurt, fruit, cereals, bread, jam as well as bacon and scrambled eggs.
The hotel also had unlimited coffee available in reception.
Located in Flåm, just 300 metres from The Flåm Railway, Flåm Station Apartments provides beachfront accommodation with free WiFi. The property features river views.

Clean, fresh, secure.
It doesn’t get anymore convenient than this location. It’s right next to where you’d take the bus/ train/ ferry. So however you arrive in Flåm this apartment is right there waiting for you! Good kitchen facility for easy quick meal. Supermarket is 1min walk away. We didn’t drive but looks like plenty of parking nearby. Luggage locker and bike hire right next door. Bonus points for a washer and love the balcony with the mountain view.
Beautifully situated by the Aurland Fjord, Flåm Hostel offers free parking and rooms with private or shared bathroom facilities. Flåm Train Station and Ferry Terminal are 300 metres away.

The hosts were warm and arranged an alternative stay for us since the original property had some ongoing issue. They upgraded us to a beautiful property and made sure we didn't have to look for last minute arrangements.
This hostel is 1 km from Flåm Station and the Aurlandfjord shore. It offers a guest kitchen, TV lounge and large garden with BBQ. Wi-Fi and parking are free.

Beautiful little apartment with a patio and excellent kitchen facilities. Staff were vey helpful and check in/out was very easy.
Beautiful location with good public transport links.
Beautiful location with good public transport links. Touristy obviously with the Flam railway at its core including rail museum and clothing outlets. As a base for car touring you face long tunnels going north (25km) and south (5km) so not one for tunnel phobes. Viking themed restaurant and pubs kitschy but food and beer ok.

Flåm is one of the most stunning places I have ever visited.
Flåm is one of the most stunning places I have ever visited. Just postcard perfect everywhere you look.
The first night we had dinner at the Ægir Bryggeripub (Gulinbusti and the Viking Planke). It was probably one of the best meals we have ever had and I would highly recommend booking a dinner at this place, you will not regret it. After dinner, we sat downstairs around the open fire on sheepskin rugs and had a few drinks. The place has a lovely authentic atmosphere and it's a really cosy pub.
We got up early the next morning and got coffee and pastries at the bakery. We also bought some chicken sandwiches for lunch as we were planning a hike.
We took the mountain train (Flamsbana) to Myrdal and then back to a lower stop (Berekvarm)and hiked back to Flåm from here, as there was too much snow at the top to hike from Myrdal.
The hike was wonderful and it was some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen.
We stopped at Drøymehytta (a small hut just off the trail) with a perfect view of Rjoandefossen, cascading over the side of the mountain. We decided this was a perfect spot for lunch and the chicken sandwich we had bought earlier that morning were delicious.
It was an honour to visit Flåm and I hope to go there again at some point in summer when we can rent bikes and cycle down from Myrdal back to Flåm.
If you have means of transport then the Stegastien viewpoint, and Aurlandsvangen, just down the Fjord from Flåm are also definitely worth a visit.

Flam was an amazing location.
Flam was an amazing location. Even though is is set up for mainly tourists to transfer through on their way from Oslo to Bergen , it was a quaint little area with amazing views and hospitality. We were there before the tourist season started , so no cruise ships yet so it felt like we have the place all to ourselves.

We visited in mid March and the views of the snow covered hills was magical. It was very quiet in town as there were no cruise ships in port.
The Flamsbana railway trip was excellent, amazingly scenic and well worth the trip from Australia.
We opted to take the bus to Voss rather than the fjord cruise to Gudvangen due to the weather. The VY bus (VY450) arrived on time and was clean and comfortable. The scenery was lovely - lots of snow and small towns we'd love to come back to.

Flåm was the highlight of Norway for my husband and our 20 and 17yo daughters. It was one of the most beautiful places they have ever seen with their own eyes. Now they just want to go back when it is less cold!
If you are doing the Bergensbana don't go through straight through. Visit Flåm!

Pristine, quiet and very pretty town.
Pristine, quiet and very pretty town. We travelled in January, it was very peaceful. The Fjord cruise was fabulous.
We travelled on the Flam train both ways as in winter the cruise between Flam and Bergen does not run. It’s a definite on my list to travel to. We will be back in summer to see the changes. The Flam Marina has great accommodation with amazing views of the Fjord. Very easy to walk around this little village. With a number of cafes/restaurants to eat at. We had dinner at the Flam Marina Restaurant twice as the food was very good and reasonably priced for Norway.
This is a pleasant hotel, situated close to the shore, with a front decks that provides lovely views of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. Our modern room was a reasonable size with plain but pleasant decor and very comfortable beds. Good curtains, too. Breakfast and dinner were included in the tariff. Dinner was a budget meal of 3 courses but was tasty and filling. (Drinks can be purchased separately.) We really appreciated the all day tea and coffee that was available in the foyer.
Located close to the fjord cruise dock and train station so excellent option for the Norway in a nutshell tour especially if travelling with suitcases in winter. Hotel has a range of eating options and good buffet breakfast included. Can walk around Flåm easily from the hotel and nice view of the fjord from the family rooms. Family room was able to accomodate 5 of us by bringing in another single bed. Family room had a big balcony and a separate room with 2 single beds.
Unbelievable value.
I randomly found this on Booking.com during my research for accommodations in Flam on a particular budget.
I was staying with my sister on a road trip around Norway.
After a brief check-in, we drove to the house and thought we had just one room. We had the entire house. Amazing.
Clean, comfortable, spacious, functional, and beautiful views of the mountains from several angles of the house. It was remarkable. Will stay again in the future!!
There are just a small selection of accommodation options in Flåm, but most of them are expensive hotels. This hostel offers exceptional value for money in a fairly expensive country. It felt safe, tidy, and efficient.
I was here for just one night, but wish I had stayed slightly longer, as it's a really beautiful part of the world.
I'd reccomend it for anyone who needs a cost efficient place to stay for a short period of time.
We stayed 2 nights in two separate rooms and it was one of the best hotels we visited in Norway during our 2-week trip. One of the rooms had a kitchen which we clearly liked more in comparison with the other smaller one without kitchen. We particularly liked the lovely staff enthusiastically answering the phone and the fish soup at the restaurant which we ordered twice in a row. The fish main dish was wonderful as well.
The location in the center of Flam was perfect for our 2 night visit. The property is a modern, clean, generous 2 bedroom apartment with a well equipped kitchen, a generous sized bathroom with heated floor and spacious shower. Bedrooms are comfortable. Enjoyed the second level balcony. In the center of shops, restaurants and easy access to the Flam railway.
Great apartment in an excellent, central location in Flam. Everything we needed in the apartment and close to grocery store and tour starting points. Apartment was clean and well maintained. Loved that there were lots of towels - including bath mats and face cloths, which both seem to be rare in Norwegian accommodation.
Nice, old and spectacular home with great location to do all things in Flåm area. Small, nice rooms (go for sea view room) and you share facilities with others. Not a 5 star hotel with breakfast and room service, but clean and a very good experience. The view is amazing.
The view from our room was exceptional - looking straight out over the water and down the fjord.
Outside of the touristy village centre. Lovely walk along the boardwalk to the hotel, about 6 minutes from the station.
Lovely warm room with separate lounge.
The hotel is located in a beautiful peaceful spot. The entire village of Flam is small, so, everything is in walking distance. Having a room with a balcony facing the fjord was superb. We enjoyed every moment of staying there. And the breakfast was great!
The owner is very hospitality. And cabin location is very good with nice view of the river and waterfall. Also it's near to historical church and close to Flam Railway Station. A wonderful place here, particularly free apples as many as you can eat.
For the location and being a hostel style accommodation with a attached bathroom, it is a good value for money. It is a 5 minutes walking distance to ferry and where all the shops are located in Flam
So great to find an affordable place in expensive Norway. Clean and obviously cared for by the owners. Good beds, clean cabin, basic cooking facilities.
