It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque.
It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque. Nice parks to walk around, plenty of restaurants and cafes. It's small so easy to get around by walking. Did not partake of the hot springs but this town definitely famous for them.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.BarbaraCanada - 8.0Scored 8.0
Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino...
Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

The staff were very professional and clearly wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are large and well appointed. Being able to have dinner out in the grounds on wrought iron furniture and white linen (with a cardigan on) was a luxury you expect in hotels that are significantly more expensive .
