Although a good 12 minutes walk with luggage from the historical center parking, a night at Taliammari was well worth the effort. Extremely hospitable host (he was made for such a job as this); large, clean bedroom and bathroom; plashing waves right outside the window; wonderful views from the terrace; an excellent hand-made breakfast of fruit and yogurt, bread with salami and sliced cherry tomatoes and fresh croissants. It was within walking distance of all that we planned, including a short walk to the location of our tour. The elevator up to the fourth floor was such a treat giving us a glimpse into the past. Our host was so very very kind and accommodating, even sending us with a bagged breakfast on the mornings that we needed to be gone early.
