Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe stayed at the Hotel des Alpes for eight nights in March 2024. Room was compact (as expected) but comfortable. We paid for half board. The dinners were excellent. The food was well prepared and plentiful. The wait staff at dinner and breakfast were attentive and pleasant. We enjoyed watching sports and playing board games in the bar during happy hour. The hotel director - Mr. Thibault - was very welcoming to me and my wife.

United KingdomThe beds could be a bit longer if your taller than 185cm Some guests don’t respect the fact that the walls are thin and hence sound travels (we brought our earplugs and had to use them every night due to our noisy neighbours on one side).
Spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff and owners. 1’ walk from gondola ski lift. Nice breakfast. Dead quiet once guests have gone to bed. Car park on site.

LuxembourgOverall great place, if I would have to pick up one thing I would change is the coffee. I would prefer to have an option to have at least one "normal" coffee during breakfast, as the one from coffee tank was not that good.
Very nice hotel located 2 minutes from ski lift (super convenient). Hotel was clean, quite and people working there were nice for us during entire stay. Breakfast was tasty. Also there is a special room where you can leave your ski equipment for a night.

United KingdomEverything was a positive experience. The only little thing which was a negative point was the size of the bathroom: it's only a cubicle inside the bedroom really which was rather small-but functional.
Perfect hotel location in Brides les Bains and the food is very good: nice continental buffet breakfast and 3-course dinners which were all excellent. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

United KingdomNothing.
The Hotel was the closest to the ski lift in Brides Les Bans. The food was fantastic, three / four courses every night. The staff were friendly and the Wifi was strong (two devices charged @ 15 euros for the week which was no problem). I had a hot bath after the slopes and there was plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and the rooms kept nice and warm. I will definitely be back next year.

PhilippinesThe soundproofing isn't great, but that's understandable given the age of the hotel.
My husband and I just returned from a five-night stay at this hotel. Monsieur Thibaut, the owner, greeted us warmly on the day we arrived. He is French and can communicate in English and Spanish. He informed us that this is a family-owned hotel that has been run by his family for four generations. The location is perfect. It is right next to the Olympe gondola lift, which will take you directly to Meribel Centre in 25 minutes. Our room was cozy, with a spacious ensuite bathroom and a lovely small balcony. Rooms are made daily and water is always hot. There is a heated shed that serves as a ski room where we store our boots and snowboards. Breakfast is served buffet style and is more than adequate. My husband and I enjoy going out for dinner in the neighborhood but during the times we ate at the hotel, the home-cooked 4-course dinner was always surprisingly delicious. There is a cheerful, friendly atmosphere among all the guests, which makes your stay enjoyable even if you are traveling alone. Like most people who have stayed at this hotel, I was impressed by Monsieur Thibaut's kindness and warmth. We had a late train back to Paris on our final day. We had intended to extend our stay and pay for a late checkout, but our room was already booked on the day we were supposed to check out. Monsieur Thibaut offered to keep our luggage while we went snowboarding. He was also very gracious in allowing us to use his facility to change out of our ski gear before heading to the train station. Beautiful hotel, excellent restaurant, and simply wonderful staff. I would recommend this charming hotel and would stay there again.
