Wow! This was the surprise hit of our trip. We got an incredible deal and expected nothing more than a place to sleep. The front hallway was a bit dingy, but then we were SHOCKED. Our apartment was absolutely gorgeous, huge, and newly renovated, but with lots of character. The windows are incredible. The neighborhood was perfect. We walked everywhere and LOVED this city. Go to Cartagena! Stay here! The ancient sites are stunning. We even ran into some peacocks! And people were so nice. My husband parked in the wrong colored zone, and rather than giving him a ticket, the parking officer walked him to a different street and helped him park. Our short stay in Cartagena was wonderful!

The location was great. Right next to the Arc De Triomf, Gothic Quarter's and plenty of restaurants. Little far from the beach but I walked it twice, but average people probably won't do that. Staff, super friendly!

Spacious with great pool and top rate facilities with a variety of areas to relax in and out. Spectacular coastal views and inland to the mountains

It was a lovely position (see above re the views), however the downside of this was that it was quite far from Almunecar town and a very tough climb back up when walking anywhere, and taxis were not easy to come by.

You just have to keep in mind that you enter through a shared kitchen to get to your private bedroom, which includes a private bathroom.

Dirty, out of date and in need of refurbishing. Poor mattress and bed. Dirty old bathrooms. Some towels had holes in them. Filthy stained hall carpets and damaged walls. Lack of space at pool for the size of the hotel. Facilities not explained by reception. This is not a 4 star.
