On the slightly negative side, I think a swimming pool would be great, it was super hot and the sea was too rough to swim. Then it would be perfect. Also, power cut do happen in Palomino, in this case be aware you won't have a fan during the night to sleep and it's super hot (but also in other hostels).

Very nice hostel, it's quite small so there is not a lot of people so the hostel is quiet at nights. If you want to party hard, you can go somewhere else or the beach. Breakfast was great and it's amazing to be able to chose between 4 different types every day! I had a massage when I was there and it was one of the best I ever had, the lady had just the right pressure, I wish I remembered her name to recommend...and it's not expensive and they come to you. Nice touch to have a mosquito net and a fan by the bed. Nice staff and volunteers. They do try to organise activities, the most regular being dancing classes at the hostel itself, and I think it's a great effort. There is a kitchen to cook if you feel like it. Price is great. The hostel is also midway between the beach (if you want to surf or take the sun or go to the parties) and the end of the town, so you are in the middle of a lot of restaurants, shops etc

The people working there are so nice and welcoming, they call you by your name, I love it! Breakfast amazing and included in the price, makes my life so much easier. Just choosing between 4 delicious options. The dorms are nice there is a little space next to the bed, for everyday stuff, so useful. Location is great, in the main road, and not too close from the sound of the parties It's perfect

The best breakfast I’ve ever head in the hostel! The rooms are nice, facilities are clean and kitchen is really well equipped. The place has a really nice vibe and the people and volunteers working there are making this place unique! Definitely recommend!

Keep in mind there isn’t air conditioning. The fan made it comfortable for sleeping at night time but the days can get really hot in the room depending on the time of year.

A beautiful sanctuary in a quieter location that is still close to the beach and near all the restaurants. Great daily morning yoga and evening dance classes. Good breakfast with excellent coffee. The owner is wonderful and helpful, as are all the staff. The private room showers overlook trees — such a great nature view!

It doesn't have a generator, and there was a blackout once, but the power got back fast so it's fine.

The WiFi in the room was nearly non existent.

As I was alone in the room I had plenty of space. For a couple it would be just ok. The room had two bedside lamps what I never found in other rooms. it is nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly.

Maybe some events to get people together. Also getting in at night was a little difficult to the point some people would climb over the gate. After knocking and ringing the bell for 10 minutes. Also light outside the private rooms was a little annoying. Would turn on if you were walking by and there were no blinds that blocked the light. Quickly found out you could turn it off but for the whole floor which can be tricky since it's dark and others may need it to find the room at night.

Had a private room. Was great. Shower was great. Room temperature water and not ice cold. Breakfast was great. Staff super friendly. Got a massage here too. Awesome.

It doesn't look like in the pictures. The dorms were super small with no real space to store the luggage. Bed was uncomfortable and the air circulation was really bad.

You get in contact with other fellow travellers easily. Breakfast was okay and they donate a part of the money for a good cause

Breakfast here was a highlight! A hot cooked breakfast is included. The volunteer staff were super awesome and very inclusive. I had instant friends right away here. Communal kitchen is pretty clean! I liked my dorm bunk with a curtain and personal power outlets.

The sliding glass door to my room was broken, but the staff was quick to remedy the situation. I wish there was a screen on the sliding glass door to promote a cross breeze, but the fan was sufficient to keep me cool during the night.

Location was close to dining/nightlife and a short walk to the beach. The bed was so comfy; I slept really well. The hammocks strung around the common areas was a nice touch, as was a weekend DJ playing chill music on a Saturday night.
