It’s sad to see that there was not even the option to drink water or coffee. The place has nothing to offer except room. Staff could be a bit more friendly and more available.

The entrance needs more visibility

A small hostel, with very comfortable rooms, nice beds, quiet ambient, near to the principal street with restaurants, clubs, etc. I recommend this place to stay if you just look for rest. The staff was very friendly, and in general, our vacations were amazing. The same that you look in booking photos.

The bathroom isn't truly private in a private room because it's just an open space. There's division but not enough privacy. There wasn't a shower head and a faucet to turn on the shower. It still functioned but the design isn't there. There were termite nest on the ceiling and on my last day a big chunk dropped on the bed and on the floors. If they could fix those issues, then they have a very competitive property in the area.

The suite was beautiful drawing in natural light. The bed was comfortable and I particularly liked that it's well ventilated. They had incredibly delicious Colombian coffee and the staff were extremely friendly .

Staff got a bit confused with calling us a cab for the next day. They could find a solution, but hadn't we planned with quite some extra time, we would have missed our bus for sure. One night, the generator ran all night and it was incredibly loud. Even with noice cancelling earplugs it was almost Impossible to sleep. You walk at least 20min. to the beach as the "streets" are complicated to walk on. Not a big issue, but important to know, if you want to be close to the beach.

If the generator doesn't run, it's a cozy and close to nature place. Except for the bathroom it stayed dry during a heavy thunderstorm (which probably isn't the case with all the huts around that are often the accomodation in Palomino)

The hotel definetly looks alot better in the pictures than in real life! The pictures were clearly taken by a professional. The pool is not really a pool, rather a small footbath. The shower is a shabby system (look at the pic) but has a good stream of water. You cannot regulate the warmth. The doorlock is just an old lock you could break easily. They charged me for refilling a water bottle and that bothered me. The worse thing was we had ants not only in the room but in our bed! We told the staff. They sprayed them in our absence and made up the bed again. That night we came back and the ants were still crawling on the edges of the bed. Found dead ants in the bed the morning after. Probably squished to death in our sleep.

The hotel has a nice outside dining area and a small well maintained garden. Our room was located on the second floor which made it less hot I think. Hotel is located at the edge of the village so there is not alot of man made noise but there are alot of animal noises. Those do not bother me at all but it might some people. There was a small safe in the room and a working refrigirator. As far as stays in Palomino go I figure this was one of the better ones. (generally the hotels in Palomino are less than fancy and at best basic). Put this hotel somewhere else though and I would call it very overpriced for what it is offering.

Mosquitos were a bit of a nightmare even with the net but that's not the hotel's fault. Everything else was lovely.

I really enjoyed my time at CasaKai. The people working there are all super friendly and helpful. They really make you feel like home. The place is located centrally but not on the main street which is great because you can sleep without any noise. The room are big and bright and it never gets to hot with the air coming trough! I really recommend CasaKai

It’s a wonderful place, quiet, well looking, all the place was decorated, the staff was so kind and attentive, the jacuzzi was lovely at night, perfect place to have some rest, they don’t have a restaurant but they have a connection with a restaurant 2m from the hotel and the have discounts, delivery and the food is just great, I loved staying there and I’d come back

Door had no lock, toilet was broken, pool was super dirty. Huge fight between staff with bottles. Not sure whether it is a hostel or a hotel. Fortunately Booking resolved my problem as the hotel just played ostrich. Sad for opportunistic Palomino tourism.

Everything! The location is great as you’re close to all the bars and restaurants, but a little further away from the noise. The staff were very friendly. Great breakfast, free tea and coffee and beautiful surroundings. There was some maintenance going on during our stay and you could really tell that the place is well looked after. The room was clean and spacious with everything we needed. We had our laundry done here and it came back crispy clean. we had a very pleasant stay!

It is 10-15 min to the beach and the 6th street, the pool is just a basin with dirty water, no garden where you want to hang out like Dreamer
