We had a very relaxing stay at the hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) served at the hotel restaurant each day. Indeed, we hadn’t planned on having all of our meals at the hotel restaurant, but such was the quality of the food and the relaxation we were experiencing that we decided to do so. We enjoyed long walks along the expansive, peaceful and relatively unspoiled beach surrounding the Punta Chame peninsula, followed by swims in the pool. We enjoyed drinks by the pool each evening. We enjoyed a great sleep each night in the very comfy beds. All in all, we had a most wonderful stay at Hotel Casa Amarilla, made all the more so by Rose Marie and her wonderful team.

We loved everything about this place: style, beauty, taste, hospitality! Every corner, every spot is filled with quality and professionalism. We stayed for 5 nights in a king-room with Casco view - it is finished with a loft design with old Jesuit convent walls showing, a nice bed, comfortable lighting, spacious bathroom with a good shower, lots of space for clothes and luggage. The complimentary mini-bar was being replenished every day with fresh water, orange juice, sodas and local beer. The 5star tradition to prepare room for the night added another luxurious touch to our stay. We loved the courtyard with garden trees and the pool on the rooftop. And their 5 restaurants are literally the best in the area - each had its own specialty and attractions. Our favorite was the French one with 2 courses of duck and various sides. The Pecan pie in American Bazar is a must. The wine selection is exquisite, the interior is charming. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the managers are always on the site and willing to welcome every guest. All in all we spend most of our time inside the hotel - just didn’t want or didn’t need to go out!

There was a lot to like in this new hotel, first of all the attention to detail in the decoration, from floor to ceiling there is an abundance of good taste. We had a double room with very comfortable beds, the lights and power points well thought out, an Eamon chair by the window with an arching light that was great to flop into after a long day. Bathroom shower had lots of pressure and no waiting for hot water. The entire place was very clean. The staff were very helpful especially in the morning at the breakfast buffet. A great spread with cooked breakfast deli meats and cheeses, abundant fruit and a variety of breads and pastries. We also enjoyed the buffet lunch although I found it a bit pricey at $25pp but food was tasty, abundant and includes a soft drink.

It was a wonderful vacation staying 11 nights at the El Panama Hotel in March 2024. It is very central and very clean. My room was huge. The employees at the reception, the restaurant, house keeping and maintainance are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffett was large and tasty, with lots to choose. The pool is big and the area around green with palm trees. 2 nice cats live around the pool. Every day clean pool towels. The Piña Coladas at the pool bar are delicious. In my opinion the only hotel in Panama city with such a beautiful pool area. The hotel itself dates back to the 1960s and has the flair of the old days and local style, exactly what I wanted. Here and there they are in the process of making small necessary improvements, the mattresses are a bit soft, the AC regulators in some rooms need to be changed. Solutions were provided quickly by the staff and I was able to have a relaxing time. I will be back soon.
