Situated in the centre of Kyoto, 300 metres from TKP Garden City Kyoto, ALA HOTEL KYOTO features air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. 10/10 stay - the hotel exceeded all expectations. It is beautifully decorated and feels very luxurious. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful with every request, and were some of the most friendly and helpful staff we’ve every encountered. The on-site laundry is super useful and free of charge. The onsen facilities were wonderful (but bear in mind they are not available to tattooed guests). The room was large , well laid out and very clean. The pretty zen gardens on each floor were a nice touch. This hotel is a steal for the price - would recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto (and gives a little taste of a ryokan experience while staying at a hotel).

Great staff, nice buzz around the reception/coffee shop/bakery area. We made sure we had a big enough room to fit our suitcases and it was perfect. Fab to have the option to eat in the hotel restaurant and a roof top drink. Fab location to walk around Kyoto. We did about 20,000 steps every day!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Japan for the very first time, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the incredible hospitality and humbleness I encountered at the hotels I stayed in. From the moment I stepped foot in Japan, I was captivated by the warm welcome and genuine kindness extended by the people, and this sentiment was mirrored by the exceptional service I received at the hotels. I want to specifically call out one of your staff member who despite her shift log out she noticed me looking for me to locate the hotel and escorted me to the hotel reception. That was way too exceptional. Kudos ! Every corner of the rooms and common areas reflected a meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the Japanese commitment to cleanliness and orderliness. I found this aspect of my stay particularly refreshing and it further enhanced my overall experience. The staff's friendly attitude truly made me feel at home during my stay. Each encounter with the hotel staff was marked by their genuine warmth and eagerness to assist. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions, answering my inquiries, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their kind demeanour made a lasting impression. Their unwavering commitment to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip. There was never a sense of superiority or distance, but rather a genuine desire to connect and provide an authentic experience. Overall, my first visit to Japan was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the humble and hospitable nature of the staff

Close to the station. There was a Japanese Bath you can use once (I couldn't because of tattoo is allowed). The room was small, but I knew that. They keep your languages.
