Tuba City is a great location for starting a drive across northern Arizona (and on into New Mexico). This is a small town, but there is a restaurant at the hotel and several known places to eat there. The hotel also has a trading post and other features, but we arrived too late to see those.

Tuba City is not a tourist destination; rather, it is a base for touring the area between the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. Tuba City, itself, has little for the tourist, but the Navaho Interactive Museum and associated Trading Post are not to be missed. See Tuba City for what it is, an opportunity to learn about one of the most underappreciated and invisible cultures and peoples in America.

This is a small town in the middle of nowhere.
This is a small town in the middle of nowhere. However, I was on my way to the Grand Canyon and this was a good stopping point on my 3 day drive. The drive to Tuba City was very scenic with incredible rock formations and pretty good roads. Traffic was not heavy in March and I enjoyed the vistas along the way. The New Mexico portion of the drive was not that scenic, but once into Arizona it really started to look incredible. Tuba City is only an hour from the east entrance to the Grand Canyon and I found this a very easy way into the park. Far less traffic than the south entrance.

I was there to tour the Hopi reservation Which I did with a guide. I was also interested in the problems the Tribe are encountering today and see if there is anything a person like me can help with. The information I received helped me decide what I could do to help.
What a wonderful experience.

Code Talker exhibit was nice.
Code Talker exhibit was nice. We stayed between Monument Valley and Flagg; Tuba City is about the best you'll get on that route! Not a lot of food choice beyond Fast Food and bad Chinese. Be careful on the time zones, the Navajo side is 1 hour ahead as they observe DST, while the Hopi side does not and stays on MST. And no alcohol is allowed anywhere, so be careful to leave it hidden in your car!
Our trip to this part of the world was fascinating, and NavajoLand Hotel was a great place to stay on our journey through. The room was great as was the hotel facility in general. Be sure to take a walk around Tuba City--the hotel is situated so that this activity is realistic. Its location also supports a visit to the trading post, which was also a worthy stop with its code talker museum and general information about Navajo Nation.
What I did t like was when changing our check-in Date, I couldn’t go directly to booking.com or the hotel from my email reservation. I had to look up the hotel phone number and the first thing that came up on my phone was reservations.Com. Before I knew it they canceled one and booked the next day and charged 15.00 for doing so. I should have looked more carefully and made sure I was calling the hotel directly.
Nothing! The room didn't exist. You never bothered to confirm the avaiabilty. A major FAIL on your part.
The only Good was that the desk at the hotel saw the reservation and called me to let me know. Which was great as if we got to the location, it was an hour drive one way and 3 house the other way to even have a chance to find a room.
The hotel is right on the main highway. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was clean and quiet. The fitness center was simple but clean and spacious. The wireless Internet was relatively fast. The hotel is beside a restaurant and is very close to the only grocery store in town.
Exceptionally clean! Cleanest hotel I have stayed at in a long time! Very friendly staff. Big pool with comfortable patios. Older property, but very well maintained. Nice rooms. Offered a basic, but satisfactory complimentary breakfast with good coffee.
Very nice and spacious hotel! Decorated in native style, cozy and atmospheric. Our room was very big, we got parking space and hotel is situated in very convenient spot to move fast the next day.
It was a beautiful hotel, there was a comforting security presence which was nice traveling somewhere I was not familiar with. The rooms were very clean, and the bed was super comfortable.
I like how friendly the staff was, the breakfast was excellent. I like how there was a paper by the room door when you woke up. Reminds me of the old days when you stay in a hotel.
Room size was awesome! Staff was very helpful. Hotel was well kept and maintained. A nice location. A nice breakfast restaurant was included. I would stay here again for sure.
We were on route through Utah and Arizona when we came across this hotel for a one night stay. We were very impressed with the entire experience and staff.
