Located in Oakhurst, just 10 miles from Yosemite National Park, the completely nonsmoking Sierra Sky Ranch was established as a cattle ranch and evolved into a guest ranch in 1946.

Continent location for our day trips to Yosemite. I enjoyed the friendly staff and the spacious rooms. A plus was having a microwave in the room to prepare food for day trips and hikes around the area.

The property itself was spacious, serene, and full of turkeys. Big windows, open floor plan. Top story room was spacious and had 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and functioning tv (to an extent). Propane tank was full for our bbq. Close to grocery stores.

If you're going to the Yosemite Park, it's a 20-30min drive to the entrance (1-1.5h to the parking lot). It's recommended to arrive at the lot before 8AM to find a spot (the later in the day, the harder to get one, especially at Curry Village). Consider leaving the house at 6-6:30AM at the latest - it's early but worth it. There are grocery stores nearby (5-10min drive), two pizza restaurants. The house is in a quiet street, has a nice view to some greenery - nice to have a cup of coffee and just sit there contemplating it. Overall, excellent choice. If the location works for you - you can't go wrong with this house. Oakhurst itself has little to offer (in my opinion), but it is a convenient base for those who want to explore the natural attractions of the Yosemite and Sequoia national parks.

The room was clean. Bathroom had nice toiletries.
The room was clean. Bathroom had nice toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, many choices. Fitness room was pretty good. Location is very close to Yosemite so it was a little more expensive. I didn't mind paying for a luxury room.

Fell in love with the location and I want to go back. Sad to leave, but all good things with a vacation come to an end. I am glad I stayed central to the town. Loved the local art gallery and artist there.

Beautiful tiny city in a short ride to Yosemite, amazing and friendly locals always ready to help. don't forget to bring the chains if you travel to Yosemite. Stores in the area could be short of tire chains of the price won't make you happy.

Oakhurst is just 16 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite. That entrance is closest to the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. The Valley and waterfalls are another 45 minute drive. Oakhurst has a great selection of restaurants, antique stores and friendly people. The selection of rooms is less expensive and easier to book than Yosemite. During the season, there is also YARTS bus system taking visitors to Yosemite (there is a fee). This makes it easier so you don't have to fight traffic, search for parking or have a park reservation.

We found Oakhurst to be a friendly town whether in local restaurants, visitor center, drug stores, and grocery stores. Oakhurst has a quaint, small town feel to it. Close to Yosemite activities and Yosemite National Park.
Arriving by motorcycle, our special request was for the downstairs room so we could easily unload our luggage and keep an eye on our bikes. This request was granted and we were very pleased to be able to use the nice swimming pool because it was an extremely hot day in Oakhurst. The hotel is conveniently located next to a Denny’s restaurant which allowed us to have a nice breakfast before heading out on our ride, because unfortunately due to the pandemic the hotel no longer served a continental breakfast.
The room was super large and perfectly clean. Beds were comfy. Nice refrigerator with freezer compartment and microwave. We were in room 224 which overlooked the pool. Location was excellent to get to Yosemite. There’s a good elevator and Justin at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. we would not eat at the Oakhurst 41 restaurant again which is very close to the hotel. Hotel was modern decor with a desk and sofa. easy parking. Sit down vanity and even a magnifying mirror.
This was a home from home, beautiful character to the place and such a lovely quiet spot. All rooms were perfect, comfortable beds, and on-suites the details were great. Hair dryer, strainers, and curling items, lots of toilet roll etc. Loved the basketball hoop & pool table. Kitchen was beautiful lovely stove and dishwasher. Perfect location. Must go to Oakhurst grill & whiskey lounge which is a 20 minute walk away.
Very friendly staff, to order breakfast every morning, very nice wine and cheese offerings every evening.
Small hotel, feels intimate. Close yo Yosemite park as well as conveniences of Oakhurst.
We had to leave early because of medical emergency and the property was nice enough to refund one night stay, which is unheard of nowadays- we will be coming back!!!
Oakhurst is one of the closest towns where you can stay when you arrive in Yosemite NP, which is a certainly a plus. You can also use Yarts bus service if you are not sure you would get a parking place in the park. Hotel was nice, with breakfast being above the standard of other motels/hotel we stayed.
Hotel was on the pricier side since the location.
This hotel was just built and is great for the price in the Yosemite area. We were only about 30 minutes away from Yosemite Valley and were near the heart of downtown Oakhurst. Room was very nice and spacious. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. We would stay here again!
The hotel is gorgeous and the facilities were brilliant! It’s a lovely quiet location about a 20 minute drive to the the entrance of Yosemite park and 10 minutes from Oakhurst town. The staff were very accommodating & I would definitely stay here again!
Best Western Plus is now on our list of preferred hotels. The room was large, had a nice layout and was very clean. We were comfortable and relaxed during our stay. Breakfast surpassed our expectations with options, quality food and service.
The hotel is close on the way to Yosemite (even though not inside the park so you will still need to buy an entrance). It is a spacious hotel and it is central to some stores near buy. The rooms were spacious and clean.
Excellent staff!! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Motel is centrally located in Oakhurst making it convenient to find anything we needed. Property was clean, room was clean. Great area for dogs. Great price.
I loved the breakfast and from the last time I was here they have updated the restrooms. It is not far from Yosemite entrance. Price of the hotel is good too. The bed is very comfortable and nice a cold bed sheets.
Large room, great view, cozy atmosphere, privacy. Close to Yosemite south gate. Altogether a great choice if you want to visit Yosemite. Oakhurst is a nice little town with surprisingly many options for eating etc.
Location next to the south entrance of the Yosemite. It is quiet, only very distant sounds of the streets. The hotel is cozy with friendly staff. Really good breakfast and free onside parking included.
The bed was so confortable and the bed sheets were so soft it was really appreciable
The location of the hotel is the best, you are close to Yosemite (1h30) and close to restaurants
The hotel was in a great location, clean and comfortable with a coffee machine, the breakfast was great. There is also a guest laundry on site which was easy to use.
