This is a 3 star hotel and a 3/5 experience. Why:
• we booked two rooms. In the two rooms: toilets, tvs, even the phones weren’t working. tv was broken, showers missing handles.
• the place is old, it’s one of the oldest hotels in Barranquilla. The rooms are small, no nice views or natural light. The bathrooms are old and out dated. TVs are small.
• the decor they post in pictures is there, it’s nice and middle eastern, but it’s only three salons. Good to take pictures in. The rest of the hotel is not as fancy as those 3 salons.
• the pictures they post online make the place look much nicer than it actually is. A lot of the hotel is falling apart and they’re slowly getting it fixed. As we were staying there, there were men on ladders fixing stuff.
• the pool is small, and normal. Nothing extravagant. Like I said, this place is old so don’t expect anything extravagant. The hotel doesent have things like a pool table, common area, or anything else for activities.
• the service is a 3/5. Some of the female waitresses have a terrible attitude, it makes me wonder why on earth they would hire people like that. Costeño women tend to carry these type of distasteful attitudes. The men were far more courteous and with better attitudes.
• the food is a 4/5. I recommend the hot chocolate and chicken empanadas with suero costeño (sour cream) the lunch and dinner was good as well, with cheap prices. The breakfast is really good too, except the buffet. When they have buffet breakfast, don’t even bother going.
• the location is decent. No nice places to walk to for food. You have to take INDRIVER to get to the tourist places and fancy areas like BuenaVista.
In conclusion, I think it might be better to pay $300 dollars more and stay in a different hotel.

Great city, with great food and a lot of tourist spots like the Carnival Museum, Restaurant la Cueva, the Zoo, the food court at the river Malecón. And close to Puerto Colombia which is a very nice beach with beautiful statues of the inmigrants that came to the once important harbor, and a Lighthouse that turns on at night.

Barranquilla should be avoided by all.
Barranquilla should be avoided by all. The river boat service although free went up the river for 15 mins, turned round and went back. That was the exciting parts.
Forget the point where ocean meets river. No chance of ever getting there.
Glad we left.

This is a modern, well-appointed townhouse in a gated community of 8. Located in the nice part of town on a quiet side street within walking distance of a mall/Exito. Gated with 24 hour security. Room for 6 adults (3 bedrooms). If I were ever to live in Barranquilla, I would consider buying a place like this. The rental price was a great deal, too.

Barranquilla is not a turistic city like Cartagena or Santa Marta, but it has its own charm. It is very organized and clean, and the people are very friendly. We really liked it a lot and hope to come back to enjoy the carnaval.
Property excellently located.
Hotel, rooms, restaurants, etc. well located.
Front Desk staff very welcoming and helpful.
"Wendy" who I'd met several years ago, now promoted, as I understand. A great attribute to the hotel!
"Maria" at the downstairs and bar and restaurant most definitely an asset to the Crowne Plaza Team!
Diana at front desk, so helpful and friendly and knew her business.
Breakfast excellent.
I most definitely will be returning to the Barranquilla Crowne Plaza!
Very friendly staff and nice small hotel. All clean and nice rooms. Breakfast is very good and lovely prepared. The only disadvantage here is, that at the start of breakfast at 6 many things not ready on the buffet and best only after 7 am as then all is there.
Pizzeria from hotel is very delicious, but also expensive.
This is a rundown and outdated hotel. The breakfast sucks. The customer service is zero. This hotel should be revamped. Booking.com advertisement stated $87000 plus Cop the hotel charged me $113000.00 plus Cop.
These people are a rip-off; I will stay away from this hotel next time I visited Colombia 😩
Very clean and satisfactory basement rooms, in the home of a welcoming and helpful Colombian couple. The beds are very comfortable. Cool and well-ventilated with really good air-conditioning.
The house also has a lounge area on the ground floor and we felt very welcome relaxing there.
we were on our way to Cartagena but got to Barranquilla too late so decided to stay in town and book the highest rated hotel that still had rooms. staff was very helpful in figuring out where we can eat, getting us a taxi to/from bus. facilities were really nice too
We wete6left out in the street of Barranquilla. The host said that he did not this reservation and that he did not do business with Booking.com.

The location is perfect, lots of restaurants, bars, gyms, and there a mall near by… it is close to everything. The rooms are nice and the staff were great! This is my go to hotel when I am in Barranquilla.
We always stay at this hotel when in Barranquilla. It is just perfect. Amazing building, great pool, excellent staff, good food. For Europeans ‘cheap’ (more or less), for Colombian people expensive.
Efficient and flexible check-in , the rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the WiFi Great. The location is excellent and in a very good neighborhood of Barranquilla.
I loved staying here. The ladies who run the hotel were so sweet. I started calling them my Colombian Mothers. This place is great to location, for the cost, and for the wonderful staff.
