Just like other reviewers mentioned, In the morning we were given a breakfast that was not included in the price. It contained meat, bread, multiple vegetables and fruits. Again, the best breakfast I ever had.

We liked that we could prepare a meal in the kitchen and relax in the living area. Our room was just right and there was enough space for our luggage. Yoshi the host is a lovely person and gave great tips for sightseeing and restaurants, he also speaks excellent English.

We really enjoyed the property with the large garden area and the river behind it. But the best part was the amazing host, Arai san! Our daughters (ages 4 and 8) would have been happy to stay at the house the entire trip, since Arai san made it so much fun. At their invitation, he accompanied us to the river several times and even brought a net to help them look for creatures in the water. He also taught them how to catch dragonflies, a skill they have now mastered. :) The girls loved the bunk beds, and I loved the bath, which was always prepared in advance with the perfect temperature of water.

The breakfast was pre-ordered and limited to 6 items per person (including infant). The atmosphere was really cosy and welcoming, it was great to have a common lounge to relax and 2 individual bathhouses for utilisation. There are some beverages and access to microwaves, oven, hot water flask in the lounge. Also, it is great that it had a small children section with suitable furniture. You can ask for the shuttle to a nearby restaurant but you will need to make your own way back. The bed and breakfast owner's family are staying in-house. So the owner is always readily available when called.

It was a wonderful experience, coming to Mr. Hiro's house. The accommodation was clean, beautiful, traditional, the conversation with the owner was very pleasant. I slept wonderfully there. I will always return to this place in my thoughts. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. And as a bonus, there is excellent and tasty drinking water. If you are thinking about where to stay in Japan, this is the right choice. Just don't make the same mistake I did. We were only for one night. We have to come back here for at least 3 nights.
